Game of the Night: Waterloo Ghosts Harcourt 11U vs Haldimand Heat 11U
The Haldimand Heat 11U made the trip up to Marsland Drive and turned it into a hitting clinic. The bats never cooled off. Sylena P does the headline work, launching an inside-the-park grand slam and adding an RBI triple, five runs batted in all by herself.
She has plenty of company. Emma K goes deep with an inside-the-park homer of her own and tacks on a double. Jordyn K joins the inside-the-park party. Beatrice V clears the bases with a three-RBI double. Jocelyn W chips in a pair of hits. By the final out the Heat have stacked up twelve hits and drawn eleven walks.
In the circle, Ruby H is untouchable in relief: one inning, no hits, no runs, three strikeouts. Waterloo keeps swinging and pushes eleven runs across, so this was no quiet blowout. The Ghosts made the Heat earn every inch. Haldimand just kept answering.
Final: Haldimand Heat 11U 21, Waterloo Ghosts Harcourt 11U 11.
