Meet Cooper Inman. He is 15, from Vittoria, and plays utility for the Simcoe Giants 15U. This summer he is heading to Waterloo to represent Southern Counties Storm in Men's Baseball at the Ontario Summer Games, competing July 30 to August 3 against the province's top talent. Cooper has been chasing this stage since his dad first started bringing him to the ballpark twelve years ago. Here is his story, and the goal he is carrying into Waterloo.

His Story

Cooper has been playing baseball for twelve years, and it started the way it does for a lot of kids around Vittoria: riding along to his dad's games. His dad brought him and his brother out to watch, and Cooper was hooked before he ever picked up a bat of his own.

His parents have been the biggest influence since. His dad coaches him, working through the fundamentals of the game. His mom helps with something just as important, the mental side of baseball, and his brother pitches in too, practicing with him and passing along the small details nobody else bothers to teach.

Cooper's proudest moment on a diamond so far is simple and direct: the invitation to compete at the Ontario Summer Games. For a 15 year old utility player from a small town, that call is the payoff for over a decade of early mornings and long drives, and it is the moment he points to when asked what all the work has been for.

The Games

This summer, Cooper heads to Waterloo to compete in Men's Baseball with Southern Counties Storm at the Ontario Summer Games, from July 30 to August 3. It is the biggest stage he has played on, a province wide field of the top 15U talent in Ontario, and earning the roster spot is proof that the years of early practices and long drives from Vittoria are paying off.

Cooper's goal for the Games is straightforward: a podium finish. No overreach, no guarantees, just a kid from Vittoria chasing the finish he believes his team has earned.

Who He's Thanking

Cooper is not shy about who got him here. Top of the list: his parents, brother, and grandparents, who have shaped nearly every part of his game and shown up for it. He is also thanking his coaches and teammates with the Simcoe Giants, the people who make the long season worth it. It is a reminder that an Ontario Summer Games roster spot is a team effort, built one practice and one long car ride at a time.
