Tuesday night belonged to the Simcoe Giants 11U Tier 1, who went on the road and held off the London Badgers11-9behind a four-run first inning. Across the hometown counties, the Caledonia Bears T2 hammered Cambridge, the Port Dover Clippers rolled Tillsonburg, the Delhi Tigers piled up 28 runs, and the Simcoe Timberwolves U15 lacrosse squad dropped a one-goal heartbreaker.

Game of the Night: Simcoe Giants 11U Tier 1 vs London Badgers 11U

The Giants do not waste time. Top of the first on the road in London, Simcoe sends a crooked number to the scoreboard, plating four runs with Mason D punching a two-run single up the middle. Just like that, the Giants are out front and the Badgers are chasing.

London does not fold. The Badgers claw back through the middle innings, with Miles T and Tyler R each dropping two-run singles to keep the home crowd in it. Every time Simcoe builds a cushion, London answers.

Then the Giants slam the door. In the sixth, Simcoe pushes the lead back to five, with Corbin S stinging multiple doubles and Mak K lacing an RBI double of his own. That late separation proves to be exactly what the Giants need.

London makes one more run at it late, trimming the gap and bringing the tying run to the plate. But Simcoe holds firm, closing it out and walking off the road with a hard-earned win.

Final: Simcoe Giants 11U Tier 1 11, London Badgers 11U 9.
