Wednesday night belonged to Jarvis. Trailing 5-0 early, the Jarvis U15/17 Team #1 fastball squad stormed all the way back to bury the METS 13-8 behind an inside-the-park home run. Around the hometown counties, the Haldimand Heat 11U spun a combined no-hitter, the Simcoe Giants 10U rallied yet again, and three Simcoe Timberwolves teams hit the lacrosse floor.

Game of the Night: Jarvis U15/17 Team #1 vs Caledonia Mets

The scoreboard reads 5-0 Mets early, and the Jarvis dugout has every reason to drop its head. Instead, they dig in.

Brayden Devins gets it going, finishing the night 2-for-2 with 4 RBI. The loudest of them is an inside-the-park home run that clears the bases and flips the energy on the field. Chase Smith keeps the line moving right behind him, going 2-for-3 with a triple and 3 RBI of his own. Tommy Mohl chips in 2 more RBI, and just like that the early hole is a memory.

On the mound, Linken Marcoux slams the door in relief, going 3.2 innings and punching out 9 to protect the lead. The METS keep looking for an answer and never find one. Jarvis just keeps adding on.

Final: Jarvis 13, Caledonia METS 8.
