Henning Park got loud Tuesday night as the Caledonia Bears T1 18U batted around in the first inning and never looked back, rolling to a big home win over the Kitchener Panthers 2009. Across the hometown counties, two Simcoe Giants squads picked up wins, the Walsingham Senators 11U hung 17 runs in an all-HTSN clash, and the Simcoe Timberwolves U11 lacrosse crew battled Lincoln on the floor.

Game of the Night: Caledonia Bears T1 18U vs Kitchener Panthers

The Bears do not wait around. At home at Henning Park, Caledonia bats around in the bottom of the first and hangs six runs before the Panthers can catch their breath. That early cushion sets the tone for the whole night.

From there it is a steady, grinding beatdown. Caledonia piles up 16 hits, draws 10 walks, and spreads the damage all the way through the lineup. Levi Snider has the day of days, going 4-for-5 with a double and two runs driven in. C Pickett lines a two-run double, and both M Smith and D Hill chip in two RBI apiece. When the Bears are not hitting, they are walking, and Kitchener never finds a way to slow the line down.

On the mound, starter N Brophy is in control across six innings, punching out seven and helping his own cause with a double, a triple, and two RBI at the plate. B Fleguel slams the door with a scoreless inning of relief and three more strikeouts. The Panthers get a couple of knocks from G Stuart, but that is about all the offense Caledonia allows.

Final: Caledonia Bears T1 18U 16, Kitchener Panthers 6.
