Game of the Night: Haldimand Heat U13 vs Kitchener Klassics White

It does not start the way the Heat want. Kitchener Klassics White jumps out early, and by the middle innings Haldimand is staring at a four-run hole at Jarvis Lions Park. Then the home dugout goes to work.

Dawsyn R sets the tone all night. She goes 3-for-4 with a triple and also takes the ball to start, spinning 3.1 innings with a pair of strikeouts. At the plate, the Heat keep the line moving. Kaylee W drives in two and legs out a triple of her own. Emma F doubles among her two hits. Skylar V adds two more knocks. Haldimand swipes seven bases and refuses to let the game speed up on them.

It comes down to the sixth. Down to their last few outs, the Heat tie it when Kelsey S laces a double to bring the run home, and Haldimand finishes the climb back. Kitchener's Emma E does her part with three RBI, but the Klassics cannot hold the lead.

Final: Haldimand Heat U13 12, Kitchener Klassics White 11.
