Game of the Night: Simcoe Giants 11U Tier 1 vs Guelph Royals
Lions Park, Simcoe, Tuesday night. The Simcoe Giants 11U Tier 1 make it look easy against a strong Guelph Royals AA club, banging out 10 hits and swiping 6 bases on the way to a 15-6 win.
Reid G sets the tone, driving in 4 runs on the night. Theo C is a one-man wrecking crew at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3. Mak K and Liam H each add multi-hit games, and Corbin S turns into a nightmare once he reaches, drawing 2 walks and stealing 3 bases. The Giants keep the pressure on all night, and Guelph never quite finds an answer.
On the mound, starter Liam H does double duty, giving Simcoe 2.1 sharp innings with 2 strikeouts before handing the ball off. Guelph gets a big day from Felix P, who goes 3-for-3, but one hot bat is not enough against a Simcoe lineup that just keeps the line moving.
By the end, the scoreboard tells the whole story. This is a Tier 1 hometown team firing on every cylinder, at the plate and on the bases.
Final: Simcoe Giants 15, Guelph Royals 6.
