SHOOTOUT DRAMA FOR THE KNIGHTS The Norfolk Knights U10A take Game 1 of the finals with a thrilling shootout win over the South Oxford Storm. James Clarke opened the scoring and then scored again in the shootout. Keegan Wentzel and Lane Smith also found the net in the shootout. Goaltender Desmond Silkiewycz was outstanding, making several huge saves all game and stopping the fifth and final shooter to secure the win. Game 2 returns to Port Dover on March 19 with a trip to the OMHA Championships on the line. Big playoff hockey continues.

The Norfolk Knights U16A team took Game 1 of the Southern Counties Finals in dramatic fashion Wednesday night in Port Dover. Michael Malo opened the scoring and later played hero in overtime, scoring the power play winner to give Norfolk a 2–1 victory over the South Oxford Storm. Goaltender Tyken DeWaele made several key saves throughout the game to keep the Knights within striking distance before Malo’s overtime winner sealed the win. With the victory, Norfolk moves one step closer to the OMHA tournament as the series shifts to South Oxford for Game 2 on Saturday.
