Hometown Sports TeamThe Norfolk Knights U16A team took Game 1 of the Southern Counties Finals in dramatic fashion Wednesday night in Port Dover. Michael Malo opened the scoring and later played hero in overtime, scoring the power play winner to give Norfolk a 2–1 victory over the South Oxford Storm. Goaltender Tyken DeWaele made several key saves throughout the game to keep the Knights within striking distance before Malo’s overtime winner sealed the win. With the victory, Norfolk moves one step closer to the OMHA tournament as the series shifts to South Oxford for Game 2 on Saturday.
