Monday brought a full slate across Norfolk and Haldimand, headlined by the Simcoe Giants 13U Tier 1 clawing back from an early deficit to edge the Ancaster Angels 8-6. Over in Guelph, the Haldimand Heat 11U spun a combined no-hitter, Caledonia and Walsingham piled on the runs, and the Jarvis Js pounded out a fastball win at home. It was a busy night on the diamond and the lacrosse floor.

Game of the Night: Simcoe Giants 13U Tier 1 vs Ancaster Angels U13

The Simcoe Giants 13U Tier 1 do not blink. Down 3-2 and searching for a spark against a game Ancaster Angels squad, the Giants uncork a five-run fifth inning that flips the whole afternoon. Nathan L is the engine, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and a pair of RBI, the kind of quiet line that wins ballgames. Dexton M does it on both sides, 2-for-3 at the plate and then handing the staff three sharp innings with four strikeouts on the mound. Madden V chips in a 2-for-3 day, Chase S drives in two of his own, and Jase F eats four innings to keep the game in reach. Ancaster does not go quietly. Carson D collects two hits and Lucas F pushes across two runs to keep the pressure on into the late frames. But once Simcoe grabs the lead, they do not give it back. Final: Simcoe Giants 13U Tier 1 8, Ancaster Angels U13 6.
