Game of the Night: Simcoe Giants 18U Tier 1 vs Caledonia Bears T1 18U

Two Tier 1 clubs, one diamond in Simcoe, and by the final out only one of them was smiling. The Simcoe Giants 18U Tier 1 handled the Caledonia Bears from start to finish, riding a steady arm and a lineup that would not let up.

Lukas Inman set the tone on the mound for Simcoe, going 7 innings and punching out two while keeping the Bears off balance all night. That kind of length lets a team relax and swing free, and the Giants did exactly that. Nunn went 2-for-4, Potts added a 2-for-5 night that included a triple into the gap, and Long drove in a pair to keep the line moving.

Caledonia did not go quietly. Snider was a tough out all evening, going a perfect 3-for-3, and Almas found his way around the bases twice. But the Bears could not string enough together to answer Simcoe's steady pressure.

Final: Simcoe Giants 11, Caledonia Bears 3.
